Fantastic place. Most of the places are beautiful and well cared for and the amenities are nice. Easy to get to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Grandfather mountain. They're not kidding when they say you need 4 wheel drive and chains when coming in the winter because the main drive is very steep.
Absolutely loved the area! I am looking forward to staying again. The pool is of good size and deep enough for lap swim. Have a decent amount of workout equipment. The landscape is beautiful!
Great place to relax. Must stay on property to use the facilities. Several buildings/locations. One outdoor, one indoor pool. Separate club houses with fireplaces, pool tables, fitness areas. Come once and you'll come back several times. Better yet, buy a unit.
Spent a week with family at this resort. Echota. Great place. 100% recommended. 15 mins from Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk, Boon or Blowing Rock..... great winter time off!
While on a family Winter break vacation we encountered less than favorable weather on one of our days. However, the Echota Clubhouse saved the day. The Club house was beautifully decorated to represent Christmas as it was nestled in the mountains, where from the wrap around patio outside the homes looked like tiny toys. The Clubhouse has a pool table along with a checkerboard set and a TV with local channels. The furniture and decorating have you the feel of a woodsy cabin in the mountains. It was honestly a beautiful place
Gorgeous views, landscaping, luxury clubhouse with a beautiful pool, spotlessly maintained. Another clubhouse has less views but a huge indoor pool. Good wifi in both.
Beautiful place. Really well maintained. Both the indoor and outdoor hot tubs worked really well. Can’t recommend a better community for a weekend retreat. Very relaxing community.
Such a clean and beautiful place with spectacular views!!! The condo was very well equipped and cozy, a very high end place to stay. We stayed in the winter, a very easy drive to Sugar Mtn and a little further to Beech Mtn. Indoor pool was great for the kids, especially nice to have the gradual walk-in section for the 21 mo old, and was heated. We drive by the outdoor pool, would love to stay in the summer with that view and the ridge location of the pool!! This will be a place we frequent a lot in the future!
